Great beginning to the Arthur Rock story. I look forward to the additional parts. By way of suggestion, I would love to see as much as makes sense to your overall story about Rock's engagement as both an investor in and board member of Teledyne. I am especially interested in anything related to the Teledyne board. That board broke nearly, if not all, every rule of modern day "good governance" which in my view is a really good thing.

Glad you enjoyed it, Henry. Thanks for the suggestion!

Great piece. Some candidates for future pieces that I think have thus far not been covered thoroughly (at least not in English): Vincent Bollore, Eddie Lampert, Carlos Slim. All followed a similar path of initially being public equity focused and then evolving into business owners / managers. Cheers

I am also interested in Teledyne, and the link to Henry Singleton specifically. Singleton was such a great mind and strategist. If there is a connection to Claude Shannon too, that would be cool! Great writing!
